...Forecast flooding changed from Minor to Moderate severity for the
following rivers in Tennessee...

Obion River near Obion

For the Obion River...including Obion...Moderate flooding is
forecast.

* WHAT...Moderate flooding is forecast.

* WHERE...Obion River near Obion.

* WHEN...Until further notice.

* IMPACTS...At 39.6 feet, Extensive flooding is occurring in the
community of Obion. Agricultural land on both banks of the river
is extensively flooded. Evacuations are necessary in Obion and
Rives.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
- At 11:00 AM CDT Thursday the stage was 31.4 feet.
- Forecast...The river will rise above flood stage just after
midnight tonight to 35.1 feet early tomorrow afternoon and
will eventually rise to 39.0 feet Sunday morning. Pay close
attention to subsequent forecasts as multiple days of rain
will impact the crest and duration of the flooding.
- Flood stage is 34.0 feet.

...The Flood Warning is extended for the following rivers in
Tennessee...

North Fork Obion River near Martin

For the Obion River...including Martin...Moderate flooding is
forecast.

* WHAT...Moderate flooding is forecast.

* WHERE...North Fork Obion River near Martin.

* WHEN...Until further notice.

* IMPACTS...At 22.0 feet, Widespread flooding is occurring in Rives
and near Union City. Additional evacuations will be necessary.
Agricultural land north of Martin is flooding and equipment and
livestock may need to be moved to higher ground. Numerous
secondary roads are covered by flood water.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
- At 11:00 AM CDT Thursday the stage was 18.5 feet.
- Forecast...The river is expected to rise above flood stage
tomorrow morning and continue rising to a crest of 22.5 feet
Sunday evening. Pay close attention to subsequent forecasts
as multiple days of rain will impact the crest and duration
of the flooding.
- Flood stage is 20.0 feet.

Details:
Multiple rounds of heavy rainfall will compound the flash flooding
threat today through early Sunday morning. Rainfall totals will
approach 12 to 15 inches for areas north of I-40 through Sunday with
5 to 10 inches to the south.

* WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall continues to be
possible.

* WHERE...Portions of East Arkansas, including the following areas,
Clay, Craighead, Crittenden, Cross, Greene, Mississippi, Poinsett
and St. Francis, Southeast Missouri, including the following
areas, Dunklin and Pemiscot, and West Tennessee, including the
following areas, Benton TN, Carroll, Crockett, Dyer, Gibson,
Haywood, Henry, Lake, Lauderdale, Madison, Obion, Shelby, Tipton
and Weakley.

* WHEN...Through Sunday morning.

* IMPACTS...Excessive runoff may result in flooding of rivers,
creeks, streams, and other low-lying and flood-prone locations.
Creeks and streams may rise out of their banks. Extensive street
flooding and flooding of creeks and rivers are possible.
